Top 5 Beards of Rock

The expert team at Smoky Mountain Beard Co. have researched, compiled, and spent many sleepless nights pondering who has the best beards in Rock.  After all of that, we just decided to do a random draw.  Because, let's face it... if they are rock stars with beards, how can you rank them?  I mean... they're rock stars... with beards... c'mon.

1. Billy Gibbons - ZZ Top

Founding member and guitarist for the wildly popular ZZ Top, and an avid custom car enthusiast.  Billy founded ZZ Top in 1969 with Dusty Hill and Frank Beard (who, ironically, doesn't have a beard).  Billy's and Dusty's beards have become iconic and are a trademark of ZZ Top.

2. Zakk Wylde - Black Label Society

Former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, and founder of the rock group Black Label Society.  His burly, bad ass beard, along with his black and white bullseye Gibson guitars have become his signature trademarks.  Raw and uncensored, Zakk is a the penultimate in bearded, bad-assery.

3. Scott Ian - Anthrax

Guitarist, and only remaining original founding member of the heavy metal band, Anthrax.  His chin whiskers have been a feature on his face for many, many years.  It has appeared in many colors, and is currently au-natural black & grey... hey, rock stars age too.

4. Chris Kael - Five Finger Death Punch

Bassist for heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch.  What else is there to say, other than his beard braids are pretty amazing.  Although, they do make him resemble Davy Jones from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

5. Rob Zombie

Musician, actor, director, artist... Rob Zombie is a modern-day renaissance man.  And he's got a pretty awesome beard, too.  If you've never been to the spectacle known as a Rob Zombie concert,  you should add it to your bucket list.  I just wonder how he gets all of his stage make up out of his beard.

If we could include beards that are no longer with us, Dimebag would easily make this list!

Damn good choices, but Rob Zombie should be # 2!
